How do you think the difficulty of the IMAT compares to that of the Italian test? I have done all the past IMATs (bio and chem, at least) and started working on the past Italian tests. So far, the latter seem much easier (I scored higher in the bio section of the 2020 and 2019 Italian tests than in the bio section of any past IMAT). It could just be because I now have a better preparation than when I tried the past IMATs, but maybe there is an actual difference in question difficulty.

Any thoughts?

I have been working on both Italian and IMAT tests as well, so I think I can answer. Personally I think that the main difference between them is determined by the quantity of quizzes in Cambridge style, which are trickier than the classic straightforward question which used to be the only one in Italian tests before 2015.Also, Cambridge logic is harder. Generally in Italy we are not much taught about logic because the whole school system is more about knowing than on reasoning.

This year’s Test di Medicina had the hardest logic and reasoning to date. Much harder because its a lot more math questions and less reasoning

I agree. Maths and Chemistry were also quite hard.

I find IMAT bio section to be more complicated than The Italian admission test. Probably due to the way questions are set.
