Class 12 mark sheet and certificate

Valid, non-expired, and government-issued photo ID proof

    Disability Certificate (if applicable)

    Provisional allotment letter

What all is included in counseling?

Choice filling – If you’ve scored more marks than the cut-off, you will get a rank-cum-counselling letter from CBSE, whose role ends here. Out of the available colleges, you are supposed to fill your choices serially. There is no limit on the number of colleges you can apply for, and you may fill all the available colleges for both MBBS and BDS.

Choice locking – Once you’ve filled your choices, you’re required to lock these choices. If you do not do so in the given time period, the system automatically locks your choices.

Allotment – The system allots the colleges according to merit. If you are allotted a medical or a dental college in the first round, you’ll have to proceed with the verification and admission process. If you are not allotted any college, then wait for the second round of counseling.

Document verification – Print your allotment letter, get three to five attested and non-attested sets of all your documents, photographs, etc. and report to the allotted college within the given time frame. If you do not report to the allotted college within the given time frame, you will be held ineligible for the subsequent rounds of counseling, and your seat shall be allotted to someone else in merit in the next round(s). Even if you wish to upgrade your choice, you have to report and take admission in the allotted medical college and opt for up-gradation when asked.

Admission – Once your documents are verified, you shall be given an Admission letter under 15% All India Quota and asked if you wish to upgrade in the subsequent round(s). Now, you shall complete all the admission formalities, pay fees, furnish bond (if any), anti-ragging affidavit, medical fitness tests, etc.

Upgrade – In the second round of counseling, the seats which remained vacant due to non-reporting by candidates in the first round are either allotted to those who didn’t get a seat in the previous round of counseling or opted for up-gradation, again according to merit.
