Does anyone have the number of candidates (non-EU) per place for each public University in the past years (2013-2019)? For example, in 2018, x number of candidates applied for y number of places at z University.

Bologna actually published this data, here

So for 2019 there were 62 foreing candidates for 15 places, for an average competition of roughly 4 foreign candidates per place. For 2018 we had 73 for 10, for 7,3 per place, and 2017 was 24 for 10, 2,4 per place.
At least for Bologna, competition amongst foreign students isn't too bad.

Meanwhile for EU residents the competition is much tougher at 16,1 in 2019, 22,6 in 2018 and 19,3in 2017. Notice that in 2019 the number of available seats increased by 50% for both categories (from 50 to 75 for EU and from 10 to 15 for non-EU), so that's why competition seems like it became easier last year.

Need help in any questions?
Tag me and I'll try my best to answer it as clearly as possible.

Thanks a lot. Now, if I can only find the numbers at other Universities...
